Eye of the High return for the festive months with a remix package to savour, featuring I.G Culture aka New Sector Movements / Jumping Jack Frost alongside Beat Merchants amongst others…

The package kicks off with the band's own remix of Jazz FM Playlist favourite 'Eye of the Sun', a natural transition from the latin meets broken fusion fuelled original, the band delivering a mighty disco driver with catchy vocal hooks and horn arrangements.

The ‘Elevate’ (Let Me Rise) Remix can only be described as an ode to funk. According to band member Femi Fem:

‘we felt the funk and gospel roots of the influences should shine through without any cliches weighing it down’.

The infectious bass line and driving JB hip-hop type beat has you moving from the minute you hear Glen Scott’s pulsating vocals, with the layering of the horns and steel pans still finding their own space. The modernist nod to the P-Funk gospel Clinton-esque vocals cap this as a future funk favourite.

I.G. Culture aka New Sector Movements, delivers something that will surely be embraced by the ‘Bruk World’ and beyond. A re-jig that has no shortage of ’tumpin’ bass and raw drums, which have a rhythmic simplicity about them, whilst still maintaining that broken style.

Legendary Jungle Music founding father JUMPING JACK FROST teams up with BEAT MERCHANTS and simply take ‘Elevate’ to another space and time, delivering a straight up roller. Classic Drum & Bass elements are utilised here with clarity and no fuss.

As a bonus, the original mixes of both tracks have been remastered for your listening pleasure. With high sonic standards, the band wants their fans and listeners to fully experience and enjoy the more subtle frequencies they have been immersed in.
